Question: Where can I find Minnesota marriage laws?

You can find Minnesota laws by clicking here

Question: My license has four spots for witnesses, but I only thought I needed two.

Law does say you only need two, they added four lines in case you have two best men and maids of honor. The bride and groom must not sign it themselves.

Question: How do I change my name after I'm married?

After you receive our marriage license back from the county, you bring it with you to the DMV, Social Security, ETC. and they'll assist you in changing your name. Most places require the certified copy, and will not change your name without it. The certified copy of your license is the one with the raised seal.

Question: How long does it take to receive my wedding license?

On average after you have applied for your license it takes about a week or 5 business days. Once I file your license (which I do the next available business day) it takes about a week to have it mailed back to you.

Question: Do you charge hourly or a flat rate?

All services are charged a flat fee, this includes all time we take to prepare your wedding, mailing costs, time at the ceremony, travel, etc. The only time we charge an hourly fee, is if your ceremony is running late, then it is at the ministers choice to charge extra.

Question: I had checked your availability for a day and you where open, but now booked what happened?  I thought we'd have you for our date.We can't not reserve a date for your wedding without a deposit, and signing of our contract.

We put a lot of time and effort into making your wedding day a special one, this protects us from those who book with us and at the last minute decide to cancel.

This policy s to give all potential couples equal rights to that day.
